Most veterans will return from war physically unharmed. However, for every soldier who lost a limb there are over 300 suffering from concussion brain trauma injuries, and post traumatic stress disorder. The Center will partner with health care providers and service organizations to deliver specialized services.

The Shenandoah Valley Veterans Center project, initiated by the Shenandoah Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1499, is open to all veterans and military and auxiliary organizations; and may serve as a home or meeting place for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Marine Corps League, AMVETS, the Military Officers Association of America, the American Legion, and the Virginia Wounded Warriors.

You are a big part of the support system. The Center, located in Rockbridge County, will be built by local citizens who understand sacrifice. Now is the time to create a facility and provide all of our veterans with access to the benefits they have earned and give them the support only other veterans can offer. It can be done, even in these tight financial times, with your support.
